In the Summer of 2012, we installed our first pivot spacers on a pivot system that had traditionally experienced significant rutting issues after four passes-the system mentioned in the “Read More” section of the website. In 2019, we grew hybrid rice under that same system. 18 passes @ 21% applying 6/10″ per pass without any issues whatsoever. Same pivot and same field that they were designed for, growing a crop that we never expected to grow under a pivot. We were able to diversify and generate a tremendous amount more revenue by simply keeping our irrigation system floating and moving forward.
